director

Dianne Bernstein, a Gilmer resident, and teacher in Gilmer ISD, was introduced to music at a very young age. Her earliest memories of four part harmony is sitting in the living room of her grandfather's house listening to him and her uncles singing the songs of faith written using shape notes.

She began singing at her church when she was 4 years old. She has not been away from music since.

She has sung with grade choirs, youth choirs, adult choirs, and ensembles. She has directed children's choirs and ensembles. She learned to play the piano as a young child. In middle school she learned to play the clarinet, the bass drum and the bassoon.

A Sweet Adelines since 1987, she recently earned her Director's Certification and enthusiatically accepted the offer to become the Director of Lake Country Harmony Chorus.

Dianne enjoys sharing her musical knowledge and encouraging singers t be better than they ever thought possible. She invites women of all ages who love to sing to visit the chorus at open rehearsals.
