| Dianne was introduced to music at a very young
age. Her earliest memories of four part harmony is sitting in
the living room of her grandfather's house listening to him
and her uncles singing the songs of faith written using shape
notes. She began singing at her church when she was 4 years
old. She has not been away from music since. She has sung with
grade choirs, youth choirs, adult choirs, and ensembles. She
has directed children's choirs and ensembles. She learned to
play the piano as a young child. In middle school she learned
to play the clarinet and then the bass drum. During concert
season she played the bassoon. All of these experiences have
given her a love of music and harmony. She is currently a member
of her church adult choir, the women's ensemble, and the hand
bell choir all of which have given her much experience in performance,
acting, characterization and production of a quality performance.
It has always been Dianne's desire to sing four-part acapella
music. When she joined East Texas Accent chorus she knew she
had found her niche. She joined Sweet Adelines in 1987 and
served has Assistant Director for 4 years. She joined Lake
Country Harmony chorus in 2005. She became the Assistant Director
in training soon afterward. During this time, she has sung
all four parts and is currently working on her Director Certification.
Dianne has been married to her husband Chuck for 11 years
and they have two children. Her four children from a previous
marriage live near and therefore she devotes part of her time
to spoiling her grandchildren. She is a teacher because she
loves educating children and she is a Sweet Adeline because
she loves music and learning to improve her skills. Dianne
looks forward to sharing her knowledge with any who would
like to sing with the chorus. She especially enjoys teaching
others to be more than they thought they could be and better
than they ever thought would be possible.
