The Lake Country Harmony Chorus |
|
Lake Country Harmony Chorus came into being in 1993 as an outlet for ladies who like to sing harmony together.
It was chartered as a local chapter of the International Sweet Adeline organization in 1995. The Lake Country Harmony chorus sings at many locations all around the east Texas area, as Fourth of July entertainment, singing the patriotic songs people love to hear, as well as at Christmas time, singing all the old favorite carols, as well as some of the novelty Christmas songs.
The chorus sings acapella, four-part harmony. This enables the chorus to sing anywhere without the need for instrumental back up. We also put together shows just for you...be it a Valentine's Day, Christmas, or any other holiday, or special occasion. Quartets often form within the chorus, to make available entertainment for a smaller stage.
The chorus appreciates as much advance notice of your request for a performance, as possible, as they plan their year in advance.
Here are members of the chorus at a recent Summer Music Camp event with Jean Barford, the director of Gem City Chorus near Cincinatti, Ohio. Jean was the guest faculty for the weekend.
